LUPERCALIA Tuscany Red IGT
Lupercalia produced with Sangiovese and Merlot grapes owes its name to the most ancient and lasting anniversary of Romans:the Lupercalia the ancestral festival of the Faun Luperco which in February propitiated purification, fertility of females and the earth as well as the transition to adulthood of young males.Everything took place around the Lupercalia the legendary cave where according to the mythological story of the origins of Rome Romulus and Remus were saved from the waters of the Tiber and nursed by a she-wolf.
